Azerbaijan's president extends warm wishes to Germany, Korea, Iraq on national holidays
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has extended warm congratulations to the leaders of Germany, South Korea, and Iraq on the occasion of their national holidays, emphasizing the importance of strengthening bilateral relations, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
In a letter to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier on the occasion of German Unity Day, President Aliyev stated, “We attach special importance to the comprehensive development of Azerbaijan-Germany relations.”
He expressed confidence that both nations would continue to make collaborative efforts to enhance their friendly ties across various sectors, including political, economic, and humanitarian domains.
“I express my hope that we will maintain close cooperation with Germany within the framework of COP29, scheduled to take place in Baku in November,” he added.
Turning to South Korea, President Aliyev conveyed his congratulations to President Yoon Suk Yeol, highlighting the significance of their partnership. “Azerbaijan attaches special importance to the comprehensive development of relations with Korea,” he remarked.
“I believe that through our joint efforts, the relations of friendship and cooperation between our countries will continue to expand and strengthen in line with the interests of our peoples.”
Additionally, in a message to Iraqi President Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, President Aliyev reaffirmed his commitment to nurturing ties with Iraq.
“I believe that through our joint efforts, the friendly relations between our countries will further develop, and our cooperation will continue to expand both in a bilateral format and within multilateral institutions,” he noted. “On such a joyous day, I wish you robust health, success in your endeavours, and everlasting peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Iraq,” he concluded.
