Azerbaijan’s president meets Iraq's Kurdistan region leader in Munich Photo

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Nechirvan Barzani, the President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, in Munich on February 13.

During the meeting, the leaders recalled Barzani’s previous visits to Azerbaijan and his meetings with President Aliyev, highlighting that these encounters offered valuable opportunities to discuss future cooperation, Caliber.Az reports per local media. 

The two presidents exchanged views on the development of relations in the economic, commercial, cultural, and humanitarian spheres, and discussed issues of mutual interest.

President Aliyev extended an invitation for Nechirvan Barzani to visit Azerbaijan, which the Kurdistan Region President gladly accepted.
