Azerbaijan's president sends warm greetings to Türkiye on Republic Day
On the occasion of Türkiye’s Republic Day, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev sent a warm congratulatory letter to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, expressing heartfelt greetings to him personally and to the people of Türkiye.
In his message, President Aliyev highlighted the achievements of Türkiye under President Erdoğan’s leadership, noting the country’s growing influence in international affairs and its active role in promoting peace and stability in the region, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
“Thanks to Your far-sighted and resolute policy, Türkiye today is reaching new heights in all areas, achieving great successes, and is recognized as a strong and powerful state with a decisive voice in international affairs,” the letter stated.
President Aliyev also underscored the strength of Azerbaijan-Türkiye relations, describing the “One nation, two states” principle as the foundation of an unbreakable bond. He praised the strategic alliance formalized through the Shusha Declaration and called the cooperation between the two countries a key factor for regional peace, security, and prosperity.
The Azerbaijani President recalled President Erdoğan’s recent visit to Gabala for the 12th Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States, highlighting his efforts to strengthen the unity of the Turkic world and elevate the Organization’s international standing.
Concluding his letter, President Aliyev expressed confidence in the continued expansion of fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, wishing President Erdoğan robust health and success, as well as lasting peace and prosperity for the Turkish people.
