Azerbaijan takes effective measures in fight against COVID-19 - health official

Azerbaijan is one of the countries taking the most effective measures in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, Acting Chairman of the Board of the Association for the Management of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB) Vugar Gurbanov told reporters, according to Report news agency.

“Therefore, the recovery rate is very high. All measures are being taken to maintain this situation. We do not have big problems,” he added.

The acting chairman also commented on the decision to cancel the requirement to do a PCR test for COVID-19 for entering Azerbaijan, adding that restrictions on the COVID-19 virus are being lifted gradually.

"I hope that new decisions will be made soon, and other restrictions will also be lifted," Gurbanov said.
