Istanbul–Samarkand plane makes emergency landing in Baku
A Centrium Air Airbus A321, operating a flight from Istanbul to Samarkand, made an emergency landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku.
According to airport authorities, the decision to divert was prompted by the sudden deterioration in the health of a passenger on board Caliber.Az reports.
The aircraft touched down safely at 08:29 local time. All relevant airport services were placed on high alert.
Medical personnel provided immediate assistance to the passenger, who was subsequently hospitalised in one of Baku’s city hospitals following a health assessment.
Heydar Aliyev International Airport emphasised that passenger health and safety remain its top priority, and all services responded promptly and in full coordination.
