Azerbaijan to celebrate 2023 as "Year of Heydar Aliyev"

Next year will be marked as the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" in Azerbaijan.

The corresponding order was signed by President Ilham Aliyev on September 29, Caliber.Az reports, citing the president's press service.

Heydar Aliyev was the former president of Azerbaijan, who served from 1993 until his death in 2003. In 2023, the 100th anniversary of his birthday will be celebrated in the country.
