Azerbaijan to partake in 17th Youth Delphic Games of CIS nations
The 17th Youth Delphic Games of the CIS member states will be held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, from October 6 to 10.
A number of educational institutions of culture and art will represent Azerbaijan at the games, according to Azertac.
Young people, aged 10 to 25, will take part in the games. They will have to compete in various nominations of folk, classical and modern art. The games will also include master classes, official and scientific-practical events.
The Youth Delphic Games of the CIS member states are held to promote the preservation and development of national cultures, encourage intercultural dialogue, strengthen ties among countries, cooperation among young people, creative intelligentsia and educational institutions of the CIS member states.
The contest programme consists of the following nominations: piano, violin, academic singing, solo folk singing, pop singing, folk dance, playing wind instruments, fine art, artist’s craft, national musical instruments. Proceeding from the contest results, the winners will be awarded with special nominations.
The Delphic Games of the CIS member states have been held since 2002. The games are aimed at searching for and supporting young talents, raising the level of culture and art in the international arena, as well as popularising the achievements of culture, art and sports, education and science.
