Azerbaijan, Türkiye highlight growing legal cooperation photo
Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev has met with Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Birol Akgun to discuss strengthening bilateral legal and judicial cooperation.
During the meeting, Aliyev emphasised the growing partnership between the prosecutorial and judicial institutions of the two countries, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Prosecutor General’s Office.
He noted that frequent bilateral meetings and effective dialogue within international forums have played a critical role in enhancing mutual cooperation. Aliyev also highlighted the active participation of Türkiye’s delegation in a high-level session held during COP29 and the 29th Annual Conference of the International Association of Prosecutors, underscoring it as a testament to strong bilateral engagement.
Akgun expressed appreciation for the warm reception and remarked that the brotherly relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan have reached their highest level, crediting the successful policies of both nations' leaders.
The two sides also exchanged views on key areas of legal collaboration, including mutual legal assistance, extradition procedures, the transfer of convicted individuals, and broader issues of judicial partnership.
