Azerbaijan, World Bank discuss energy transportation from Caspian Sea to Europe PHOTO
Azerbaijan and the World Bank have discussed work on projects related to the transportation of energy from the Caspian Sea to Europe.
The relevant discussions were held at a meeting between Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and newly appointed manager of the World Bank's office in Azerbaijan Stefanie Stallmeister, Report informs with reference to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy.
In the course of the conversation, the implementation of projects in our country with the technical and financial support of the World Bank was highly appreciated, opinions were exchanged on cooperation with the Bank, priority directions of development of the energy sector of Azerbaijan.
Information was also given on energy transition, energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, as well as assessment of wind energy potential in the Caspian Sea.
The meeting touched upon the preparation of a new World Bank Group Partnership Framework Document with Azerbaijan for 2023-2028.
