Baku adopts final declaration at OTS ministers’ meeting
Baku has adopted a final declaration following the second meeting of ministers of industry, science, technology, and innovation of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS).
The declaration highlights the need for greater private sector involvement in regional economic cooperation, with business structures expected to become the main driving force behind economic interaction, as well as a key source of ideas, technologies, and investments, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Participants proposed establishing a technological platform involving major industrial companies from member countries to promote sustainable industrial development and innovative growth across the region.
The ministers also emphasised the strategic geographical position of the OTS countries and the growing potential of the Middle Corridor in expanding mutually beneficial trade and economic ties.
It was announced that the third meeting of OTS ministers of industry, science, technology, and innovation will be held in Kazakhstan in 2026.
