ADEX 2026 to showcase Azerbaijani-made firearms, kamikaze drones and robots PHOTO

Azerbaijani-made firearms, kamikaze drones and robots will be showcased at the 6th Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition (ADEX 2026), Samir Aghabalayev, Head of Staff at Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence Industry, said. 

Speaking at a press conference held at the Victory Museum in Baku and dedicated to ADEX 2026 and Securex Caspian 2026, the 15th International Exhibition for Internal Security, Protection and Rescue Equipment, he described ADEX as the largest specialised defence exhibition in the region and highlighted the progress made by Azerbaijan’s defence industry over the past 20 years, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

“Innovations are expected at ADEX-2026. We are working on the development of Azerbaijan’s defense industry. At this year's exhibition, Azerbaijani-made firearms, kamikaze drones, and robots will be presented. Within this framework, priority is given to the advancement of new technologies. With the rapid global developments, the nature of warfare is also changing. It is necessary to adapt to these changes in time,” Aghabalayev noted.

Aghabalayev also stressed the significance of the exhibition for Azerbaijan’s defence sector, pointing to the attention it has received from the country’s leadership since the first edition in 2014.

“ADEX is the largest specialized exhibition in the region. President Ilham Aliyev has visited all exhibitions held since 2014. Thanks to the President's attention to the defense industry, this sector has become one of the key pillars of our country's defense capability,” he said.
