Minister: Azerbaijan’s economic power built on “Contract of the Century”

The “Contract of the Century,” signed on September 20, 1994, laid the foundation for a new stage in Azerbaijan’s modern economic history, Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said on X.

“The agreement gave significant impetus to the efficient development of the country’s energy potential, the expansion of cooperation with international partners, and the creation of broader investment opportunities,” he noted.

Jabbarov emphasized that the strategic course defined by National Leader Heydar Aliyev is being continued under President Ilham Aliyev.

“The strategic course established by National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the architect of this historic decision, continues under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, evolving in line with new realities and priorities,” the minister added.
