Azerbaijani foreign minister, Russian envoy discuss peace process with Armenia
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received Special Representative of the Russian Foreign Minister for normalisation of the Azerbaijan-Armenia relations Igor Khovayev on October 24.
The prospects for the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the current situation and recent events in the region, as well as the results of the meeting in Tehran within the regional 3+3 platform were discussed at the meeting, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az.
Bayramov noted that after Azerbaijan has fully controlled its sovereign territories as a result of anti-terrorism measures against illegal Armenian armed forces, which, in violation of obligations, did not leave Azerbaijani lands over the past three years, there are real chances to agree on a peace treaty with Armenia as soon as possible.
All opportunities have been created for the Armenian residents of Karabakh to live in the Azerbaijani territory as citizens of Azerbaijan, and a corresponding website is available for their reintegration.
The views on other issues of mutual interest were also exchanged during the meeting.
