IRGC commander promises crushing response to US, Israel
Iranian Maj. Gen. Hossein Salami has stated that the US and the Israeli regime reached a critical point, emphasising that they will face a response from the resistance front at the right moment.
Salami, who is also Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), made these remarks during a speech at an event commemorating the National Day of Fighting against Global Arrogance in Tehran, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.
“Today, it is the US that is observing its political sunset,” he noted.
He emphasised that Americans and Israelis are on the brink of collapse, cautioning Washington and Tel Aviv that the resistance forces will react at the right moment.
The commander also pointed out that the tragic events in Gaza and Lebanon expose the hypocrisy of American human rights claims, condemning the US as the root cause of political and military unrest globally, despite its assertions of promoting democracy and freedom.
In comments made on November 2, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei emphasised that the enemy's actions will not go unchallenged by those fighting on behalf of the Iranian nation and that such acts will not be forgotten.
The leader stated that both Israel and the US will certainly face a decisive response for their actions against the Iranian nation and the resistance front.
On October 1, Iran carried out a large-scale missile strike against Israel in retaliation for the assassinations of key Hamas, Hezbollah, and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps officials. In response to this attack, Israel has vowed to take action.
On October 26, the Israel Defense Forces reported that they had targeted military installations within Iran due to "numerous continuous attacks." The Islamic Republic of Iran Air Defense Force confirmed that military facilities in the provinces of Ilam, Tehran, and Khuzestan were hit, but noted that the damage was limited, as air defenses successfully intercepted most incoming strikes. The Israeli attacks resulted in the deaths of at least four Iranian servicemen and one civilian.
