EU says it is too early to predict visa-free travel for Armenians by 2029

The European Commission has said it is too early to predict whether Armenia could achieve visa-free travel with the European Union by 2029.

European Commission spokesperson Paula Pinho said at a briefing in Brussels that it was still too early to predict whether visa liberalisation would take place in 2029 or at another specific date, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.

The Armenian government’s programme for 2026–2031 sets a goal of establishing a fully visa-free regime with the EU by 2029.
