Türkiye intercepts yacht carrying suspected FETÖ members
Nine suspects accused of membership in the FETÖ movement have been detained in Türkiye’s southwestern Muğla province while allegedly attempting to flee the country.
The suspects planned to cross the border aboard the Russian-flagged yacht PETER PAN, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.
The vessel was intercepted off the coast of Datça, Muğla, near international waters. The yacht’s captain and two children who were on board were also detained.
A criminal investigation has been launched against the captain on charges of “assisting the FETÖ terrorist organisation” and “illegal migrant smuggling.” The children were handed over to relatives.
