Azerbaijani leader: Azerbaijan to have highest yield on liberated lands

12 August 2022 20:17

Livestock breeding in Azerbaijan’s Kalbajar, Lachin, and Zangilan Districts has very great prospects.

“Without wasting time, we have been sending shepherds there with herds of sheep for the second year and we see the result,” President Aliyev said in an interview with Azerbaijani television in Basgal settlement of the Ismayilli district on August 12, Caliber.Az reports referring to Azertag.

“We sent beekeepers. Hundreds of beekeepers have already set up their bee farms along the roads in the Kalbajar and Lachin districts and are getting much honey. We have already become exporters of honey,” the president noted.

The president noted that grain growing, as well as viticulture, fruit growing, and hazelnut growing should be developed in the Fuzuli, Aghdam, Jabrayil, and Gubadli districts.

The Azerbaijani president said that Azerbaijan will support farmers, and citizens who will return there, will provide them with subsidies, give recommendations, and support them in supplying the grown products to the markets.

“I reiterate that the development of agriculture in this region, namely, Eastern Zangazur and Karabakh, should be built on the most modern foundations because we are starting to work virtually from scratch, so we cannot make mistakes,” President Aliyev said.

“We cannot repeat the mistakes made during the agricultural reform carried out in the past in Azerbaijan. Everything must be correct, and transparent, and I am sure that as a result, the highest yield will be observed on the lands liberated from occupation,” the president added.
