Azerbaijani market prepares for changes New code, new rules

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a law "On approval of entry into force of the Competition Code and related legal regulation ".

The information was posted on the official website of the Azerbaijani President, Caliber.Az reports.

The Code includes 12 items and 84 articles. The document defines the legal framework for entrepreneurial activity in conditions of healthy competition. The Code is important in terms of economic development, improvement of the business environment and promotion of free entrepreneurship. The new Code is also aimed at protecting consumer rights and further improving the quality of products and services.

The document will come into force on July 1, 2024.

The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to prepare a draft law defining the types of liability for violation of the Competition Code, as well as proposals to improve the activities of the Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control State Service State Service for Antimonopoly Control and Consumer under the Ministry of Economy.
