Azerbaijani, Pakistani leaders exchange Ramadan greetings, discuss Middle East situation
On March 20, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation, Caliber.Az reports, citing the official website of the Azerbaijani head of state.
During the call, President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the holy Ramadan holiday, conveying their best wishes for prosperity and continued success to the peoples of Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
The two leaders commended the steady development of relations grounded in friendship and brotherhood between their countries, and exchanged views on the prospects for further cooperation as well as future bilateral contacts.
They also discussed the current situation in the Middle East, underlining the importance of resolving ongoing tensions promptly through political and diplomatic means.
