Azerbaijani parliament speaker visits Malaysia for ASEAN assembly PHOTO

Azerbaijani parliament speaker Sahiba Gafarova arrived in Malaysia on a working visit to participate in the 46th General Assembly session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Gafarova and her delegation were welcomed at Kuala Lumpur International Airport by Malaysian Senate Vice-President Datuk Nur Jazlan bin Tan Sri Mohamed, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Malaysia Irfan Davudov, and other senior officials, Caliber.Az reports via local media. 

During the visit, the Azerbaijani parliamentary chairwoman is scheduled to address the assembly session and engage in a series of bilateral meetings with heads of parliamentary delegations from participating countries, aiming to strengthen inter-parliamentary cooperation and regional dialogue.
