Azerbaijani president approves action plan to implement Employment Strategy for 2026–2030
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order approving the Action Plan for the Implementation of the Employment Strategy for 2026–2030.
According to information published on the official website of the head of state, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population has been tasked with coordinating the implementation of the action plan and submitting annual progress reports to the president.
The Centre for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the plan, while the Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to address issues arising from the presidential order.
The action plan aims to strengthen Azerbaijan's labour market through a range of measures, including support for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), improvements to the legal and regulatory framework governing employment, and the enhancement of labour standards.
It also envisages expanding the scope and effectiveness of active labour market policies, improving labour market integration for socially vulnerable groups and individuals facing barriers to employment, promoting social dialogue, combating informal employment, and developing a more advanced labour market monitoring and forecasting system.
