Azerbaijani president approves cooperation programme with Jordan
President Ilham Aliyev has approved a government-to-government cooperation programme between Azerbaijan and Jordan covering science and education, culture and the arts, youth and sports, archaeology, healthcare, and media for the period 2025–2027.
According to Caliber.Az, the information was published on the official website of the Azerbaijani President.
The programme was originally signed in Baku on November 27, 2025, following the 4th meeting of their Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation.
Co-chairs of the Commission—Azerbaijan’s Minister of Finance Sahil Babayev and Jordan’s Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yarub Alqudah—signed the Protocol on the outcomes of the 4th meeting, as well as the Executive Cooperation Program in the fields of science and education, culture and art, youth and sports, archaeology, health, and media for 2025–2027.
The event also featured several signing ceremonies, including an agreement between the governments of Azerbaijan and Jordan on cooperation and mutual assistance in the field of customs affairs; a Memorandum of Understanding and Implementation Program between the Azerbaijan State Tourism Agency and Jordan’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities (MOTA) on cooperation in the field of tourism; and a Memorandum of Understanding between Azerbaijan’s Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA) and Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO).
