Azerbaijani president arrives in Uzbekistan for state visit

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived in the Republic of Uzbekistan for a state visit on August 22.

A guard of honour was lined up for the head of state at Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport decorated with the national flags of the two countries, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azertag.

President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva were welcomed by Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and other officials.

Visiting Heydar Aliyev Square in the Uzbek capital, President Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, and their daughter Leyla Aliyeva laid flowers at the bas-relief of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
