Azerbaijani president, bp CEO discuss projects in liberated territories PHOTO

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev and bp Chief Executive Officer Murray Auchincloss underlined the importance of the company’s project in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories. 

During the meeting held on June 19, the sides also hailed the long-term successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and bp, Caliber.Az reports via local Azertag.

The sides then noted the effective use of revenues from the country’s energy resources to drive Azerbaijan’s socio-economic development.

The discussions also highlighted Azerbaijan’s growing role in supporting the energy security of several European nations. The country’s potential in renewable energy, in addition to its hydrocarbon reserves, was also emphasised.

The meeting further included an exchange of views on expanding cooperation between bp and Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR.
