Azerbaijani president congratulates King of Sweden on national holiday
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to King Carl Gustaf XVI of Sweden.
The press service of the President of Azerbaijan disseminated information about it, Caliber.Az reports.
"Your Majesty,
On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I am happy to extend my sincerest congratulations and best wishes to you and through you to all your people on the occasion of the national holiday of the Kingdom of Sweden.
On this remarkable day, I wish you robust health and happiness, and the friendly people of Sweden everlasting peace and prosperity," the letter reads.
The Kingdom of Sweden recognized the independence of Azerbaijan on January 16, 1992. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on May 8, 1992.
The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Kingdom of Sweden was established in January 2008. The Embassy of the Kingdom of Sweden in the Republic of Azerbaijan has been active since March 1, 2014.
In total, 32 Swedish companies engaged in construction, trade and services have been registered in Azerbaijan.
The Working Group for Azerbaijani-Swedish Inter-Parliamentary Relations has been established and operates in the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The group is chaired by Kamila Aliyeva.
