Azerbaijani president congratulates Montenegro with call for stronger cooperation
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to his Montenegrin counterpart Jakov Milatović on the occasion of Montenegro's Statehood Day, reaffirming Azerbaijan's commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding cooperation across a range of sectors.
In the message, Aliyev extended his congratulations to President Milatović and the people of Montenegro on the national holiday, Caliber.Az reports via state media.
“Dear Mr. President,
On behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan, I cordially congratulate you and the people of Montenegro on the occasion of 13 July - the Statehood Day."
The Azerbaijani president praised the development of relations between the two countries, highlighting the strength of their political partnership and the opportunities for broader cooperation.
"The strengthening of Azerbaijan-Montenegro interstate relations, built on good traditions, and our partnership based on mutual understanding and respect is gratifying. The high level of our political relations provides a good basis for further expanding our cooperation across all areas, especially in economic, trade, energy, investment, tourism, and other spheres," the letter notes.
Aliyev expressed confidence that the two countries would continue working together to deepen bilateral ties for the benefit of both nations.
"I am confident that we will consistently continue our joint efforts to enhance relations between Azerbaijan and Montenegro and expand our mutual interaction in line with the interests of our friendly peoples."
Concluding his message, the Azerbaijani leader wished President Milatović continued success and extended his best wishes for peace and prosperity to the people of Montenegro.
"On this auspicious day, I wish you robust health, success in your endeavors, and the friendly people of Montenegro everlasting peace and prosperity.”
