Azerbaijani president discusses energy cooperation with China Datang Corporation chair PHOTO

On November 12, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Lyu Jun, Chairman of China Datang Corporation Ltd., to discuss cooperation in energy transition, green energy development, and green industrial park projects.

During the meeting, President Aliyev highlighted the importance of the large delegation’s visit to Azerbaijan, noting that it creates a good opportunity to discuss cooperation prospects, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azertag.

The head of state highlighted that numerous Chinese companies are already operating successfully in Azerbaijan and noted the growth in Chinese tourist arrivals following the introduction of the visa-free regime between the two countries.

President Aliyev also recalled his state and working visits to China earlier this year, stressing that the Azerbaijan–China strategic partnership has deepened significantly since those meetings.

Expressing appreciation for the reception, Lyu Jun said the delegation was impressed by Baku’s rapid development and the warm hospitality shown to them in Azerbaijan.
