Azerbaijani president extends condolences to UK over Air India tragedy Involving British Passengers
President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has expressed profound sorrow over the recent Air India passenger plane crash near Ahmedabad, India, which claimed numerous lives, including British citizens.
In a heartfelt message addressed to UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, President Aliyev extended his deepest condolences on behalf of himself and the people of Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
“To His Excellency Mr. Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland,” the message begins, “We are deeply saddened by the news of the crash of an Air India passenger plane near the city of Ahmedabad, India, which resulted in numerous fatalities, including citizens of the United Kingdom.”
President Aliyev continued, “In this difficult moment, I share in your sorrow and, on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, extend my deepest condolences to you, and to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in this tragedy.”
