Azerbaijani president, first lady attend number of events in Shusha

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva took part in a number of events in Shusha on May 10.

The president, first lady and their family members got acquainted with the construction work carried out in a residential complex consisting of 23 buildings in the city of Shusha, took part in the groundbreaking ceremony for the 2nd residential complex of 17 buildings, at the opening of plaques at the intersection of Heydar Aliyev and November 8 streets, the Shushi hotel and congress centre complex, as well as at an event dedicated to the start of reconstruction and repair of the public services centre in the city of Shusha, carried out on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev.

The head of state, the first lady and their family members attended the opening of the creative centre in Shusha, renovated by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, got acquainted with the flower festival and the photo exhibition “Heydar Aliyev and Karabakh”, organized as part of the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azertag.

Then the Azerbaijani President, the first lady and their family members took part in the opening of the tablets at the intersection of Khurshidbanu Natavan, Zafar, Karabakh and Khan Shushinsky streets.

President Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and members of their family attended the opening of the Yukhari Govhar Aga Mosque in Shusha after reconstruction and restoration, as well as the opening of the exhibition "Mir Mohsun Navvab Karabagi - Encyclopedic Scholar of the 19th Century" in the building of the madrasah on the territory of the mosque.

The head of state, the first lady and their family members took part in the opening of the Saatli mosque and the Shusha branch of the National Carpet Museum after restoration work carried out by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, got acquainted with the exhibits and works of art exhibited in the museum.

Then the President of Azerbaijan and the First Lady took part in the opening of the tablet on Iron Fist Street in Shusha.
