Azerbaijani president, first lady share messages for Youth Day

On February 2, 2026, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev shared a message on his social media accounts to mark Azerbaijan’s Youth Day.

Azerbaijan’s Youth Day is celebrated annually on  February 2 and was officially established as a national holiday in 1997. The date marks the anniversary of the First Forum of Azerbaijani Youth, which was held on February 2, 1996, bringing together young people from across the country to discuss priorities and responsibilities for youth development. In recognition of the importance of that event, President Heydar Aliyev signed a decree declaring February 2 as Azerbaijan’s Youth Day the following year.
