Azerbaijani president on why nation’s land borders remain closed

Now we see that with the closure of Azerbaijan's land borders for a certain period, security in the country is being beefed up. There have been many cases in the past, some of which have been publicized and some of which have not.

President Ilham Aliyev said this on 23 April in a speech at an international forum on "COP29 and Green Vision for Azerbaijan" organized at ADA University, Azertac reports.

"We are facing serious threats and problems from outside. This is what I meant when I said that all our potential risks may come from abroad," the president said.
