Azerbaijani president reaffirms commitment to deepening ties with Philippines
Azerbaijan has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening ties with the Philippines, with President Ilham Aliyev stressing continued efforts to expand cooperation between the two countries in a congratulatory message marking the Philippines’ Independence Day.
In his letter to Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., President Ilham Aliyev highlighted the importance of advancing bilateral relations, emphasising future-oriented collaboration, Caliber.Az reports via state media.
“I believe that we will continue our joint efforts toward the development and expansion of friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Philippines in line with the interests of our nations,” the Azerbaijani leader said.
The Azerbaijani president extended his congratulations on behalf of himself and the people of Azerbaijan to the Filipino nation on the occasion of its national holiday.
“On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend my sincere congratulations to you and, through you, to your entire people on the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of the Philippines – Independence Day,” he stated.
He also conveyed well-wishes for the Philippine leadership and people, expressing hopes for continued peace and prosperity.
“On this auspicious day, I wish you robust health and happiness, and the friendly people of the Philippines peace and prosperity,” the message reads.
