Azerbaijani president recalls envoys to Poland, Netherlands, appoints successors
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has recalled Nargiz Akif gizi Gurbanova as the country’s ambassador to Poland and appointed Fuad Eldar oghlu Isgandarov as her replacement.
Iskenderov previously served as Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein, Caliber.Az reports, citing the official website of the president.
In a separate diplomatic reshuffle, the head of state also recalled Mammad Bahaddin oghlu Ahmadzade from his posts as Azerbaijan’s ambassador to the Netherlands and permanent representative to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
Ahmadzade has been appointed Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Belgium under another presidential decree.
He replaces Vagif Ismail oghlu Sadigov, who has also been recalled as Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Luxembourg and head of the country’s mission to the European Union.
