Azerbaijani president receives grand welcome in Pakistan on state visit

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Pakistan on July 11 for a state visit.

As a sign of special respect, Air Force fighter jets met the presidential plane in Pakistani airspace and escorted it to the landing, Caliber.Az reports, citing the official website of the Azerbaijani president.

A guard of honor was assembled at the Pakistani Air Force base Noor Khan, where the national flags of both countries were flown in honor of Ilham Aliyev.

A volley of cannon fire was opened in honor of the Azerbaijani president.

Pakistani Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif welcomed Ilham Aliyev.
