Azerbaijani president signs decree on establishment of West Industrial Park
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on January 15 to establish the West Industrial Park in the territory of Ganja city and Shamkir districts.
The new industrial park is intended to provide modern infrastructure and management systems to support entrepreneurial activities, encourage competitive production through advanced technologies, and facilitate the growth of businesses in the region, Caliber.Az reports per state media.
The Economic Zones Development Agency under the Ministry of Economy will oversee the park’s operation, management, and development.
To support initial planning and infrastructure preparation, an allocation of 500,000 AZN (around $294,117) from the president’s reserve fund in the 2026 state budget has been designated.
