Azerbaijani security official: Armenia recognizes concessions reach their limit
Azerbaijani Security Council Secretary Ramil Usubov has said that Armenia understands that the limit of concessions has been exhausted.
He made the statement in an interview with the official press, Report informs.
"The participation of Armenian officials in various discussions and negotiations on the delimitation and demarcation of borders in recent weeks shows that they understand that the limit of concessions has been exhausted," he said.
Ramil Usubov noted that Armenia, which creates artificial barriers, has no choice but to abandon unfounded claims and start participating in regional cooperation. On the other hand, as it becomes clear that the opposition's protests against the peace talks will fail, the number of people who join them decreases. Furthermore, the majority of those attending these rallies are only protesting the country's deplorable social situation. It appears that Armenian society has both the desire and the support for peace talks.
"We should not forget that in last year's elections, the Armenian people trusted the ruling party, which declared that it would start negotiations with Azerbaijan, and not the opposition, which represents the 'war party - military junta'. The people gave Pashinyan a mandate to conclude a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, that is, the Armenian people are tired of enmity and want stability," the security boss said.
