Baku, Ankara discuss humanitarian aid to Syria PHOTO
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Türkiye Rashad Mammadov has met with the head of the Syria Department of the Turkish Foreign Ministry Mustafa Yurdakulu to hold talks regarding the humanitarian support to Syrians.
The ambassador noted that the meeting was fruitful: “We discussed possibilities of joint activities between Azerbaijan and Türkiye on humanitarian aid to Syria,” Caliber.Az reports, citing the ambassador’s publication on X.

To recall, Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov recently reiterated Azerbaijan's dedication to addressing Syria's humanitarian issues. He emphasized the necessity of restoring peace and stability in Syria and expressed Azerbaijan's readiness to collaborate with Türkiye to support the Syrian people.
İn general, Azerbaijan has consistently expressed its support for Syria's territorial integrity and sovereignty. The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry emphasized the importance of restoring peace and stability in Syria through internal political dialogue, aligning with the will of the Syrian people. Azerbaijan has also pledged to assist in addressing the humanitarian challenges faced by Syrians, in coordination with Türkiye and other like-minded nations.
Türkiye has expressed its intention to cooperate with Azerbaijan in providing humanitarian assistance to Syria. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan noted that both countries would work together to support the Syrian people, underscoring the strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
