Azerbaijan-Morocco defence deal set for parliamentary review
The Defence, Security and Counter-Corruption Committee of the Azerbaijani parliament discussed a bill on the ratification of a defence cooperation agreement between Azerbaijan and Morocco on December 24.
The bill has been recommended for review at the next plenary session of the parliament, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Azerbaijan and Morocco have abolished visa requirements for their citizens, allowing Azerbaijani nationals to travel to Morocco for stays of up to 90 days without a visa, provided their passports are valid for at least 180 days from the date of entry. Similarly, Moroccan citizens can now visit Azerbaijan visa-free.
This new arrangement, which took effect on August 28, 2024, coincides with the 32nd anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, established in 1992. It is expected to boost travel, tourism, and business exchanges, reflecting the strong commitment to enhancing the bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Morocco.
