Azerbaijan expands cooperation with Comoros PHOTO

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Minister of Finance, Budget and Banking Sector of the Union of the Comoros, Moussa Abderemane.

According to Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry, the meeting discussed prospects for developing friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Comoros Union.

The two sides particularly emphasised the importance of strengthening ties within international organisations and platforms.

The Azerbaijani side’s active role in international organisations, including the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Non-Aligned Movement and other multilateral platforms, was highlighted, along with the importance of mutual support and solidarity.

The discussions also covered opportunities to expand partnership ahead of the OIC summit scheduled for 2027.

The talks underscored the importance of further strengthening cooperation in a “South–South” format, with the Comorian side praising Azerbaijan’s efforts to promote engagement with less developed countries within this framework.
