The Second Conference of the Supreme Courts of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was held in Turkestan, Kazakhstan, bringing together senior judicial officials to discuss justice system reforms, digital transformation of courts, and the protection of investors' rights.
The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Chief Justice Inam Karimov of the Supreme Court. The event also gathered representatives of the supreme courts of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Türkiye, along with OTS Secretary-General Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Caliber.Az reports via Kazakh media.
Addressing the conference, Karimov emphasised the importance of judicial cooperation among member states, saying the platform would help judges and legal professionals gain greater insight into the judicial practices of other countries, study advanced legal approaches, and strengthen the exchange of expertise.
Participants discussed measures aimed at improving the efficiency and transparency of judicial systems across the Turkic region, with a particular focus on leveraging digital technologies and enhancing legal safeguards for investors.
At the conclusion of the conference, delegates adopted a joint declaration supporting the continued digitisation of judicial systems, stronger protection of investor rights, and the creation of a Unified Information Platform to facilitate cooperation and information-sharing among member states' judicial institutions.
