Baku to host major international conference on cyber diplomacy in November PHOTO

The 2nd International Conference on Cyber Diplomacy (ICCD 2026) will be held in Baku on November 19.

The conference will be jointly organised by the Service and Romania’s National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics, with the participation of the Presidential Administration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, State Security Service and other local partners, Caliber.Az reports, citing the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of Azerbaijan.

The conference will be held under the theme “Power and Influence in the Age of Artificial Intelligence - A Regional Perspective on the Changing Cyber ​​Environment.”

ICCD 2026 will bring together international experts, ambassadors and diplomats accredited to Azerbaijan, as well as representatives of international organisations.

Participants will discuss the impact of AI on international relations and diplomacy, the balance between cyber alliances and strategic autonomy, the role of major technology companies in geopolitics, the threats posed by information warfare and deepfakes, trust and responsible behaviour in cyberspace, critical infrastructure protection and cross-border security risks.

The conference aims to explore the future of cyberspace amid technological and geopolitical changes while strengthening cooperation among states, international organisations, experts and the private sector.

In 2024, Azerbaijan hosted the 1st International Conference on Cyber Diplomacy, which brought together around 120 representatives from more than 30 countries.
