Azerbaijan’s victory in Karabakh came through unity, deputy chairman says
The liberation of Karabakh was a common victory for Azerbaijanis around the world, representing not only territorial integrity but also national pride, Gunduz Ismayilov, deputy chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Work with Religious Organisations, has said.
Speaking at a meeting at the Institute of Theology held as part of a visit to Azerbaijan by Azerbaijani religious figures working in Türkiye, Georgia and Iraq, he noted that the visit also aims to strengthen brotherhood and unity, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
“The martyrs of Karabakh are martyrs of all Azerbaijanis around the world. Karabakh is not only a matter of land and territorial integrity, but also a matter of national pride for all Azerbaijanis around the world,” he added.
According to Ismayilov, information about Azerbaijan disseminated outside the country does not always correspond to reality.
“Our goal is to give you the opportunity to see for yourselves the religious and spiritual realities and atmosphere of Azerbaijan,” he stressed.
