Azerbaijan to participate in UNGA with expanded delegation, FM says

Azerbaijan will participate in the 81st session of the UN General Assembly with an expanded delegation, says Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

Speaking on the sidelines of a forum held as part of the Fourth Climate Week (CW4) in Baku, Azerbaijan, he noted that President Ilham Aliyev is not expected to attend the assembly, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

“The participation of the head of state is not planned. However, Azerbaijan will be represented by an expanded delegation. Relevant preparations are currently underway,” he clarified.

The 81st session of the UN General Assembly will begin on September 22 in New York.
