Azerbaijani top diplomat meets EU Commissioner for climate action
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov welcomed European Union Commissioner for Climate Action Wopke Hoekstra during his visit.

During the meeting, the two officials discussed cooperation on Azerbaijan’s initiatives to combat climate change and preparations for the upcoming 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).
Jeyhun Bayramov provided a detailed overview of Azerbaijan’s main directions and priorities as the host of COP29. He highlighted the work carried out at both national and international levels, as well as ongoing activities in preparation for the conference.
Commissioner Wopke Hoekstra acknowledged the significant efforts made by Azerbaijan in its role as the COP29 president.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on other issues of mutual interest.
