Azerbaijani, Turkish leaders discuss regional, global developments

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a phone call to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on May 20.

Turkish-Azerbaijani relations, regional and global processes were discussed during the telephone conversation, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani President’s press service.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan expressed satisfaction with the progress of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia in a positive direction and noted that Turkey is closely monitoring the process.

The Turkish President emphasised that a just and lasting peace to be secured in the region will create a new atmosphere for both Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as for the regional countries.

During the talk, the sides exchanged views on further cooperation.
