At a session of the Baku Military Court on May 30, Elchin Shirinov, a victim of the Armenian missile attack on Barda, provided a harrowing testimony recounting the events of October 28, 2020.
Shirinov described how, at approximately 13:00, while driving a VAZ 21074 vehicle in the town of Barda, he was struck by a Smerch missile shell fired by Armenian armed forces, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Shirinov suffered severe shrapnel wounds, injuries officially classified as causing grave harm to his health.
“Barda endured multiple severe bombardments, with Smerch missiles being launched repeatedly, resulting in numerous casualties and injuries,” he noted.
The court proceedings involve Armenian nationals accused of serious violations including crimes against peace and humanity, war crimes, the preparation and waging of aggressive war, genocide, breaches of the laws and customs of war, terrorism, financing of terrorism, and the forcible seizure and retention of power, among other grave offenses.
