Baku hosts 67th General Assembly of International Association of Judges PHOTO
The 67th General Assembly of the International Association of Judges has opened at the Baku Congress Center.
The event is attended by high-ranking Azerbaijani officials, including Fuad Alasgarov, Assistant to the President and Head of the Department for Work with Law Enforcement Bodies, Supreme Court Chairman Inam Karimov, Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev, and Head of the State Security Service Ali Naghiyev, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Among the attendees are also Interior Minister Vilayat Eyvazov; Minister of Justice Farid Ahmadov, Constitutional Court Chairman Farhad Abdullayev, Chairman of the Union of Judges of Azerbaijan Ramiz Rzayev, Azerbaijani parliamentarians and foreign guests.
The International Association of Judges (IAJ) is a global organisation representing judicial associations from over 80 countries, dedicated to promoting judicial independence, integrity, and the rule of law. Its annual General Assembly serves as a platform for judges to discuss challenges to judicial systems, share best practices, and strengthen international cooperation.
