Azerbaijan honors North Macedonian leader with grand welcome ceremony PHOTO

An official welcome ceremony was held in Baku for Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, the President of the Republic of North Macedonia, who is on an official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

A guard of honour was formed in the square, adorned with the national flags of both nations, to greet the North Macedonian President, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev warmly welcomed President Siljanovska-Davkova. The chief of the guard of honour then presented a report to the North Macedonian President.

The national anthems of both the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Azerbaijan were played during the ceremony.

The guard of honour, accompanied by a military march, paraded before Presidents Aliyev and Siljanovska-Davkova, who then posed for official photographs.
