Baku meeting underscores strong Azerbaijan–Türkiye brotherhood and alliance PHOTO
On July 2, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Türkiye’s Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek in Baku, where the sides discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation and reaffirmed the strategic importance of Azerbaijan–Türkiye allied relations.
Expressing gratitude for the reception and hospitality, Akın Gürlek conveyed the greetings of President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the head of state. President Ilham Aliyev thanked him for the greetings and asked that his own regards be passed on to the President of Türkiye, Caliber.Az reports via the presidential website.
The guest emphasised that relations rooted in shared history, culture, and brotherhood continue to develop further thanks to the sincere ties between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
The Turkish Minister of Justice also noted that under the strong leadership of the head of state, Azerbaijan is continuing its development, referring in this context to the country’s economic progress, the further strengthening of its international standing, and the historic Karabakh Victory.
Akın Gürlek further highlighted Azerbaijan’s important role in the implementation of regional energy and connectivity projects, including the Zangezur corridor, adding that Türkiye will continue to stand by Azerbaijan in this regard.
During the conversation, it was emphasised with satisfaction that Azerbaijan–Türkiye brotherly and allied relations are successfully developing across all areas. It was also noted that effective cooperation has been established between the justice ministries of the two countries, with discussions held on expanding collaboration further.
