Baku reshuffles diplomats, names new envoy to Pakistan

Azerbaijan has appointed Irfan Shakir oglu Davudov as its ambassador to Pakistan, following a presidential decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev, according to the official website of the head of state.

The appointment comes as Khazar Nadir oglu Farhadov was recalled from his post as Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Pakistan. Under a separate presidential order, Farhadov has been reassigned as ambassador to Malaysia.

Davudov previously served as Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam.

The diplomatic reshuffle reflects routine rotations within Azerbaijan’s foreign service.
